Heather P. Walker, Ph.D.

Heather P. Walker has created an authoritative, concise, and visually appealing photo atlas for any dog anatomy course. Published for veterinary technicians, and specifically for those students having a focus on canine training, this atlas serves as a tremendous supplement to any anatomy textbook.

Combining superb illustrations and photos with clear descriptions, Walker has defined the standard for all dog anatomy atlases. Dog Anatomy – A Photo Atlas is a full-color atlas that is organized by region: cells, bones, muscles, nerves, and organ systems. Each chapter contains the following:

  • Histological images
  • Diagrams
  • Illustrations
  • Photographs and radiographs

Labeling, crossword puzzles, and multiple-choice exercises are included for review and assist in reinforcing chapter material. With hundreds of dog images, this unique atlas enables students to both grasp and reinforce content understanding.
